This week's Colour Creations blog hop is all about Lemon Lime Twist, a beautiful lime green with yellow undertones. This is the fun colour combination I have used on my card:
I have a sneak peek for you, of some new products coming out in Stampin' Up!'s January-April 2024 Mini Catalogue. I don't usually like to share new products this early, but was so excited to get my hands on some new goodies, that I couldn't resist having a play with the new Hot Air Balloon bundle. All of the stamps and dies used on my card are from this bundle. I can see I'm going to have a lot of fun creating with this one.
I have used papers from the Glorious Gingham 6"x6" DSP pack, and the Stargazing Designer Series Paper pack. The edges of the papers were sponged with Lemon Lime Twist ink, before being matted on a layer of Tahitian Tide card.
After stamping the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, on Basic White card, I cut it out using a die from the Hot Air Balloon bundle. Using a Blending Brush, I lightly coloured a scrap of Basic White card with Tahitian Tide ink. I then die-cut a few clouds using dies from the bundle.
The sentiment banner is raised up on Stampin' Dimensionals.
The image of the hot air balloon was created with two stamps. I first stamped the top and bottom (one stamp) in Tahititan Tide ink, then added the middle piece in Lemon Lime Twist ink. The basket was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and the balloon and basket were cut out with co-ordinating dies.
I decorated the balloon with Lemon Lime Twist Tinsel Gems, and Tahitian Tide Pearls.
After adding Adhesive Sheet to the back of scraps of Lemon Lime Twist, Basic Black and Tahitian Tide card, I die-cut the bunting. Adhesive Sheets make it clean and easy to adhere die-cut pieces to a card, once the backing paper is peeled away. I used Paper Snips to trim a couple of flags off each end of the bunting laid across the card front.
Next up on tonight's blog hop is Kate Morgan:

All current products used to make my card are listed below. If you'd like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, and you live in Australia, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.
I can't yet link to the new Hot Air Balloon bundle in my online store, as it isn't available to purchase until 4th January 2024. If you'd like to get your hands on it sooner, you might like to join the Stampin' Up! "family". One of the many perks of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is early access to new products (and at a discount!). 😊
Come back tomorrow to see a second card I made with these products. So much fun to create with!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful bright & happy card Christine. Adore your hot air balloon in Lemon Lime Twist with Tahitian Tide with the gorgeous embellishments. I have been trying to resist playing with my PPP order, just stroking it as I go by and work on my Christmas stash - but now I need to go and play. xxx
ReplyDeleteOh wow, what a brilliant card, Christine. Tahitian Tide looks amazing with Lemon Lime Twist, and the small pops of black are great too. I did notice some gorgeous new gems & pearls, how pretty they look on your hot air balloon!
