I have loved playing with Stampin' Up!'s Christmas-themed products this year, and feel really sad that our weekly Heart of Christmas blog hops are nearing an end. Next Monday night will be our last blog hop for this year.
This week I am sharing a card with two products I have barely used ... the Forever Forest bundle, and the fab More Wishes stamp set. I have used a couple of patterned papers from the A Walk in the Forest Designer Series Paper pack, and traditional colours of Garden Green and Real Red.
How great are the fonts in the More Wishes stamp set? I stamped the Merry in Real Red ink, and the Christmas in Garden Green ink, on Basic White card. I then used a Nested Essentials Die to cut out the sentiment, tailoring the die cut to size. To do this, I die cut the label, then moved the die while the card was still in it, and ran it back through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.
I added Festive Pearls to the sentiment label.
The stamp with five trees on it was inked in Garden Green ink. Before stamping onto Basic White card, I used the Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker to colour the tree trunks.
Using Merriest Trees Dies, I cut one star from Gold Foil, and an outline star from Gold Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper. Some more Festive Pearls were added to the middle tree.
I laid a length of Real Red ribbon across the card front, and added a bow made with the same ribbon. This ribbon is really lovely to work with.
Next up on tonight's blog hop is Caroline Manwaring:

A beautiful card Christine. I love your selection of DSP for the background with the stand of stamped trees in the foreground. Also love the way you have decorated one tree to be the focal tree. I must find that red ribbon and use it - you have added it beautifully. xxx
ReplyDeleteChristine, I love how you made the centre tree your feature, by decorating it with the star and Festive Pearls. That large sentiment looks great in two colours, the red ribbon & bow is divine and the selection of DSP is beautiful in th background. A really sweet card.
ReplyDeleteLove this one, Christine. The centre tree looks so sweet all decorated for Christmas.
