Today is my friend Helen's 60th birthday. She loves blue, so I just had to use the special new Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper for her card.
I used a Gorgeously Made Die to cut the Basic White leafy spray that features on the front of the card. Some berries, from the Christmas Classics bundle, were stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink on Basic White card, and cut out with co-ordinating dies. I added a bow made from beautiful Silver & White Sheer Ribbon.
This close-up shows the shimmer on the "60", that I die-cut from Blueberry Bushel card, using Alphabet A La Mode Dies. I painted it with my Wink of Stella brush, before adhering the numbers to the card front.
The sentiment, from So Sincere, was stamped in Versamark ink on a Blueberry Bushel piece of DSP from the Winter Meadow pack. I heat-embossed it it white, very lightly sponged the edges of the paper with Blueberry Bushel ink, then adhered it to a Smoky Slate border strip with a scalloped edge cut with a Scalloped Contours Die.
Can you see the glorious Adhesive-Backed Glitter Sequins on the background paper? They're my new favourite embellishment!
Because I love the Designer Series Paper so much (and love a bit of theming), I added a panel to the inside of the card. A Basic White panel, cut using a Scalloped Contours Die, provides space for the birthday message. Forgive my poor photography, but I couldn't get the card to stand upright!
