STAMPIN' UP! FOREVER FOREST BIRTHDAY CARD

The card I am sharing today features Stampin' Up!'s Forever Forest Dies, and lots of lovely texture.  I am a sucker for tree and mountain dies, so knew I would get a lot of use out of these dies for masculine cards as well as Christmas cards.

The only stamping on this card is the sentiment.  I stamped it (using the Beautiful Balloons stamp set) in Crumb Cake ink on Basic White card, cut it out using a Deckled Circles Die, and sponged around the edges with Crumb Cake ink.  A few Rustic Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots finish off the sentiment piece.

This close-up better shows some of the texture achieved with die-cuts and embossing.  I cut out a few little clouds from Basic White card, and added Smoky Slate and Balmy Blue ink very gently with Blending Brushes.  The Basic White panel in the background was embossed with the Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder.

I really like how the mountain dies also emboss the die-cut pieces.  I cut mountains from Crumb Cake,  Gray Granite and Pebbled Path card.  The trees were die-cut from Mossy Meadow and Old Olive card.

I used my Dark Pebbled Path Stampin' Blends marker to colour some Silver 1/8" Trim, and laid the ribbon across the front of my card after I'd matted everything on a piece of Mossy Meadow card.

Using a Deckled Rectangles Die, I created a Basic White writing panel for the inside of my Crumb Cake card.  Just for fun, I added a couple of tiny trees to carry over the theme from the card front.

Listed below are all the products I used to make my card.  If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.
