Today's card continues on with the Early Espresso theme on my blog this week. I have teamed Trucking Along with my old faithful Biggest Wish stamp set, and Sketched Plaid, using this great masculine colour scheme:
I started off by stamping Sketched Plaid in Early Espresso ink, on a piece of Very Vanilla card. I used a ruler, and the brush tips of my Stampin' Write Markers, to add Wild Wheat and Copper Clay lines. I purposely made some of the lines a little thicker, to tie in with the somewhat irregular Early Espresso lines. This piece was sponged around the edges, with Crumb Cake ink.
The sentiment was stamped in Copper Clay and Early Espresso inks, on Very Vanilla card. I used a Deckled Rectangles Die to cut it out, and customised the size of the sentiment label by running it back through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, after moving the die.
The sentiment label was mounted on a piece of Early Espresso paper from the One Horse Open Sleigh pack.
I stamped the truck on another piece of Very Vanilla card, using Early Espresso ink. The body of the truck was stamped in Wild Wheat, and I coloured the wheels and tyres using Gray Granite and Basic Black Stampin' Blends. The "road" was stamped in Crumb Cake and Early Espresso ink. I also stamped this pattern on the larger piece of One Horse Open Sleigh DSP, in Early Espresso ink, but it's not very obvious!
I again used a Deckled Rectangles Die, cutting the truck panel down to the size I wanted by die-cutting it once, then moving the die and re-cutting. After sponging the edges of this piece with Crumb Cake ink, I mounted it on a piece of Copper Clay card.
The ribbon dividing the plaid and Early Espresso parts of my card front is from the Real Red & Burlap Ribbon Combo pack. I cut a small piece of the burlap ribbon, and coloured it using the Natural Tones Deep 100 Stampin' Blends marker. After adhering it, folded over, with Tear & Tape, I added some copper Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots, to complement those on the truck's hubcaps.
