Every Monday night, until the end of November, a group of us (all Australian Stampin' Up! demonstrators) shares inspiration for using Stampin' Up! products in Christmas crafting.
The card I'm sharing this week features three designs from the A Walk in The Forest Designer Series Paper pack. Not only are these papers beautiful, and versatile, but they are part of Stampin' Up!'s giveback program. For every pack of this paper sold in Australia, Stampin' Up! will donate $4.95 to Anglicare, to help out vulnerable families. I feel very proud to be associated with such a generous company, with a strong social conscience.
In between the two different background papers, is a strip of White Herringbone Ribbon that I coloured with the Light Pretty Peacock Stampin' Blends marker.
This picture gives a closer look at the gorgeous Blooming Pearls, beautifully colour-matched to the papers. I cut the garland for the middle Christmas tree from Distressed Gold Specialty Paper.
The sentiment, from the Brightest Glow stamp set, was stamped in Pretty Peacock ink on Basic White card, and cut out using a Labels Aglow Die. I added a star (solid die-cut with a detailed overlay) cut from Distressed Gold Specialty Paper. You can see in this photo that I sponged the edges of the background papers with Pretty Peacock ink, before matting them on Garden Green card.
Next up on tonight's blog hop is Rachel Woollard. If you click on the graphic below, you'll be taken to her blog:

Listed below are all the products I used to make my card. If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.
A lovely card Christine. Beautiful use of the Walk in the Forest DSP. I love your colouring of the Herringbone ribbon and the Aglow label. xxx
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, Christine. I am trying to resist those lovely trees. Your chosen DSP is lovely with the coloured ribbon which adds great texture. The distressed gold paper star is wonderful below your sentiment.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely card to feature the beautiful papers. Isn't it great that there is no need for fussy cutting with this combo? I do like the garland in the Distressed Gold paper too.
ReplyDeleteI might need to take another look at this DSP. Your card is so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLovely card, Christine. The cluster of trees in various shades of green is pretty and I love the colour matched trim. Those pearls are on my next order, so it’s lovely to see them up close.
ReplyDeleteI just love those trees and the muted green and blue tones on your lovely card, Christine. I also love your mix of gems and the little touches of gold.
ReplyDeleteChristine this is my favourite Christmas DSP this season and I love how you have used it. The sponged edges add a nice texture and while there is no Christine bow I do love the way you have used the ribbon to connect the two papers and as grounding for your trees. I had not thought of using the Blooming Pearls with this paper but they coordinate perfectly. Beautiful card.
