STAMPIN' UP! GET WELL CARD FEATURING ARTISTICALLY INKED IN BUBBLE BATH

This week's Colour Creations blog hop is focussing on Bubble Bath, a beautiful soft new pink in Stampin' Up!'s range.

I've teamed the Artistically Inked stamp set with the great new Wanted To Say Dies, to make a get well card.

The background of the main panel on my card is stamped, using the splotchy "watercolour" image stamp and Bubble Bath, Smoky Slate and Basic Gray ink.

I stamped the two larger flowers in Bubble Bath ink on Basic White card.  After die-cutting them, I sponged the edges with Smoky Slate ink, and used the brush tip and inside lid of my Dark Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends marker to splatter ink across the pink areas.  The smaller flower was stamped in Smoky Slate ink, and the leaves in Basic Gray ink.

Pastel and Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins have been added to the flower centres.

The sentiment was die-cut, from Bubble Bath and Basic White card, using Wanted To Say Dies.  I used Countryside Corners Dies to cut a piece of Bubble Bath heart-patterned DSP, and laid a piece of vellum, cut to the same size, over the top.  I like that the vellum adds a bit of greyness to the paper; it matches my colour scheme!

A strip of Bubble Bath heart-patterned DSP, and some Bubble Bath Sheer Ribbon, finished off the front panel.  After sponging around the edges of the card and paper with Bubble Bath ink, I matted the layers onto a piece of Basic Gray card, and a Thick Basic White card base.
