STAMPIN' UP! BEAUTIFUL BALLOONS CELEBRATE CARD

For the recent Colour Creations blog hop focussing on Azure Afternoon, a new Stampin' Up! colour, I made a card using the Beautiful Balloons bundle.  I was a bit diffident about the colour we were showcasing, until I came up with a lovely bright colour combo.  The design for my card was inspired by another card I had made, that I'm sharing today.  So, this was my original, that I reworked in different colours for the recent blog hop.  I really love this one; it's one of my recent favourites.

I created the background by stamping the streamers from Beautiful Balloons, on Basic White card.  I used Fresh Freesia, Bubble Bath and Misty Moonlight inkpads.  Once the stamping was done, I cut the panel out with a Scalloped Contours Die.

The sentiment was die-cut using the Wanted to Say Dies, and Fresh Freesia and Basic White card.  I popped it up on Foam Strips, to sit over the balloon strings.

I cut stars using one of the dies from Beautiful Balloons, in Fresh Freesia, Bubble Bath and Misty Moonlight card.  After embossing the stars with a Basics 3D embossing folder, I sponged the edges with ink to match the cardstock colours.

The scalloped rectangle fits beautifully on a Radiating Stitches Die-cut rectangle of Fresh Freesia card.  Tinsel Gems 3-pack were my embellishment of choice; I love the glassy, glossy, look of these gems.

On a balloon die-cut from Bubble Bath cardstock, I stamped "Happy Birthday" in Misty Moonlight ink.  I sponged around the edges of the balloon in Bubble Bath ink, and added a white baker's twine  bow, and balloon strings.
