STAMPIN' UP! BEAUTIFUL BALLOONS IN AZURE AFTERNOON

Now that we've showcased all the new In Colors from Stampin' Up!, we'll spend a bit of time focussing on the four new Core Colours in the range.  First up is Azure Afternoon, a bright blue that I have had a couple of false starts with - really didn't think I liked it, but I have done a complete about-face!

Once I decided on this gorgeous colour combination, everything came together easily on my card.

The Beautiful Balloons bundle and Wanted To Say Dies feature on my card.  I've managed to use four other die sets ... who was it who claimed to her husband, all those years ago, that making her own cards would save money?! 😂

I cut the balloon from Azure Afternoon card, and sponged Azure Afternoon ink around the edges after stamping the sentiment in Blueberry Bushel ink.  The long garland stamp from Beautiful Balloons was used to create my background.  I stamped it on Basic White card, using Azure Afternoon, Lemon Lime Twist and Blueberry Bushel inks.  After cutting the stamped piece out using a Scalloped Contours Die, I adhered it to a Radiating Stitches Die-Cut panel cut from Azure Afternoon card.

The "Celebrate" was cut from Azure Afternoon and Basic White card, using one of the numerous dies from the fabulous Wanted To Say Die set.  I popped up the balloon and this die-cut sentiment on Stampin' Dimensionals.

Using the smaller of the two star dies from Beautiful Balloons, I cut one star from each of the three colours of card.  I embossed them with a Basics 3D embossing folder, and sponged around the edges of each star with ink matched to the cardstock colour.

The gorgeous Lemon Lime Twist and Blueberry Bushel shiny embellishments are from the Tinsel Gems Four-Pack.

Because the largest of the Radiating Stitches Dies is designed to fit a US-sized card, it doesn't quite extend to the size of our A5 cards in Australia/NZ.  I added a couple of die-cut pieces of card to create a bit of trim to the bottom of the Radiating Stitches piece.  The Lemon-Lime Twist piece of card was cut with a Deckled Rectangles Die, and the Blueberry Bushel loopy details were cut from part of a Scalloped Contours frame die.

At least buying craft products is cheaper than therapy, my story and I‘ll stick to it. Absolutely love what you’ve done with all those wonderful dies, and your colour selection is magic.
