AWHT COLOUR CREATIONS SHOWCASE - WEEK 3: BERMUDA BAY

Tonight I am taking part, with a number of other members of Claire Daly's Art With Heart Team, in a Colour Creations Showcase.  Catherine Proctor is co-ordinating this weekly share, and has a list on her blog of all participants.  We'd love for you to visit all our blogs, and leave some comment love!

Today's chosen colour for our projects is Bermuda Bay.  This is a colour I don't normally gravitate towards, so it was a good challenge for me.  I decided to make a masculine card, using these colours:

Using the new The Right Triangle stamp set, I stamped LOTS of triangles onto Whisper White card, using Bermuda Bay ink for some, and Memento Tuxedo Black ink for others.  I then cut them all out using the Stitched Triangle Dies, and glued them to a panel of Whisper White card.  Check out the cool background this made:

I added some Basic Black bunting, cut from another die in the Stitched Triangles set, and a few Silver Foil stars from Stitched Stars.  The sentiment is from a new stamp set called Happiest Of Birthdays, which I think will be a firm favourite.  To achieve the crisp black stamped impression, I used my Stamparatus, and stamped the sentiment four times to achieve my desired result.

Listed below are all the products I used to make this card.  If you click on any of the thumbnail images, you'll be taken direct to my online store.  I would love for you to shop with me, if you live in Australia, and don't already have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator.

Make sure you hop on over to Catherine's blog, to see who else is taking part in the Colour Creations Showcase tonight.  You'll find lots of lovely inspiration.

It turns out I had a lot of fun creating with Bermuda Bay, so I'll have another card to share with you tomorrow. :)

  1. That is very cool! I don't have the triangles on my wishlist at all - but I can see they are very, very useful for masculine cards!

  2. Such a cool masculine card, Christine. You better not give it to any Vic AFL supporters though - your colour combo graphic made me think of Port Adelaide!

  6. What a lovely masculine card and yet if you needed it for a female it would work well also. I haven't given the triangles any thought but you have made me change my mind.

  7. Oh wow, Christine - so creative! I just love it, and I love that sentiment. I'm putting that on my "wish list". Great masculine card but in different colours, it would be just as great for a lady.
