HOC WEEK 13: STAMPIN' UP! O HOLY NIGHT WREATH CHRISTMAS CARD

Every Monday night, until the end of November, a group of us (all Stampin' Up! demonstrators in Australia) is sharing ideas for using Stampin' Up! products in your Christmas crafting.

The card I am sharing tonight shows off the gorgeous O Holy Night Designer Series Papers, and a lovely colour scheme of blues and copper.

The background of my card design is made up of three of the patterned papers from the O Holy Night DSP pack.  Using Wishes All Around Dies, I cut two wreaths - one from Basic White card, and one from copper Tartan Foil Specialty DSP.  Before cutting them out, I added Adhesive Sheet to the back of the pieces of card and paper, to make the die-cut pieces cleaner and easier to stick to my card front.

After adhering the wreaths to the top half of the card front, I added a bow of Night of Navy Bordered Ribbon.

Adhesive-backed Solid Gems were dotted around the card front, picking up two of the colours in the papers.

The sentiment, from Joy To You, was stamped in Versamark ink on Basic White card.  I sprinkled it with copper embossing powder, and melted it with my Heat Tool, before cropping this piece with a Nested Essentials Die.  The die was bigger than I wanted for my sentiment label, so I ran it back through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine a second time, after re-positioning the die-cut piece of card in the die.

Look at this melted coppery goodness!

Next up on tonight's blog hop is Judy May:

  6. Christine your combination of colours and choice of papers for your stunning wreath card was inspired. I love all the little details - embossed greeting, embellished stars and of course a 'Christine bow'. I am really appreciating the non-traditional Christmas colours this year and your card is perfect.
