STAMPIN' UP! BIRD'S EYE VIEW FRIENDSHIP CARD

I made this card for my lifelong friend, Keri, who lives in New Zealand.  We normally see one another only once a year (if that), but Keri has been amazing since I had ankle surgery last November.  She came over to Australia to look after me for a week after my surgery, and has made two more trips back since then.  We share a love of reading, Keri loves yellow, and I love the Bird's Eye View stamp set ... so this is how I combined those things:

After stamping the cute bird perched on a stack of books, on a piece of Basic White card, I cropped it with a Nested Essentials Die, and coloured the image with Stampin' Blends.  I used Smoky Slate, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and the Color Lifter.

A couple of layers of clear glue, applied with the Fine Tip Glue Pen, gives her glasses a bit of shine:

The sentiment, from Very Best Occasions, was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Daffodil Delight card.  I used a Meadow Die to create the sentiment label.

The largest Basic White panel in the background was embossed with a Basics 3D embossing folder, and adhered to a Daffodil Delight layer.

I used Petal Patterns Dies to cut out the textured floral background piece, cutting the solid flowers from Daffodil Delight card, and the overlay from Basic White card.  A few flower centres were decorated with gems from the Faceted Gems Trio Pack.
