STAMPIN' UP! HEARTFELT HEXAGON FLORAL CARD IN FLIRTY FLAMINGO

As we work our way alphabetically through Stampin' Up!'s colour range, we have reached Flirty Flamingo.

The beautiful Hello, Irresistible Designer Series Paper forms the basis of my card, with hues of Flirty Flamingo and Petal Pink.  I have used the new Heartfelt Hexagon bundle for the sentiment, and added some silver touches, on a Crumb Cake card base.

As is typical of my card designs, I used two patterned papers for my background.  After sponging the edges in Flirty Flamingo ink, I adhered them to a Flirty Flamingo card panel.  The ribbon that lays across the join is Silver & White Sheer Ribbon, that I coloured with the Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends marker.

The two flowers, and three leaf clusters, at the top of my card, were die-cut from Hello, Irresistible DSP, using the co-ordinating Irresistible Blooms Dies.  I decided I wanted the flowers a little smaller, so I trimmed off the outer petals, using Paper Snips.

On a piece of Flirty Flamingo card, I white heat-embossed the sentiment from the Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set.  I punched it out with the Heartfelt Hexagon punch, and sponged the edges with Flirty Flamingo ink.

The flower centres are Iridescent Pearls, coloured with the Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends marker.  I used the same Stampin' Blends marker to colour the ribbon used for my bow, but went over the colour twice to make it a little darker than the ribbon under the sentiment label.

Here's a closer look at the beautiful paper, and some tiny outline flowers cut from Silver Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper, using Sentimental Park Dies.

I decorated the inside of the card with a Basic White panel embellished with a different strip of paper, and a single larger die-cut flower, from the Hello, Irresistible DSP pack:

  1. Oh my goodness, Christine, both your card and Tina's card have tipped me into the yes camp for this DSP. I love the way you've used the two patterned papers for your background and given us so many lovely layers of texture. Love this card!

  2. A delightful card Christine. I love your choice of DSP and the hexagon label and sentiment. The smaller flowers are perfect - so worth trimming them down. The Blends coloured ribbon and pearls are beautiful xxx

  5. Christine, you always have the cutest ribbon bows, so adorable. I love that you coloured it with Blends too, and the Iriddescent Pearls. It's a beautiful feminine card and those papers do lots of the work for you; can't be hiding it with too many layers.

  6. Such great use of this DSP on your card, Christine. The little silver flowers are adorable, and tie in perfectly with the coloured ribbon.
