AWHT COLOUR CREATIONS SHOWCASE - WEEK 31: OLD OLIVE

 

Tonight I am joining a group of my Stampin' Up! friends, in sharing creations made with Old Olive, one of the greens in our colour range.  Cathy Proctor is co-ordinating our share, and has a comprehensive list on her blog of all participants.  Please check out Cathy's beautiful work, and click on the links to everyone's blogs, to get inspiration for using this colour.

I have been having a play with the Dandy Laser-Cut Paper from the January - June Mini Catalogue, so decided to use a few pieces on my Old Olive card.  I used Stampin' Blends markers, in Old Olive and Seaside Spray, to colour the delicate circular frame and the two fine dandelion pieces adhered to the sides of the circle.

Here's a closer look at the coloured frame, and the rhinestones I coloured with my Dark Old Olive Stampin' Blends marker.  I laid a double layer of Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding across the card, and added a double bow to finish off:

Here you can see the individual laser-cut dandelions that I coloured, and adhered to the circle.  The little white heart was cut using a Birds & More Die, and I used a Peony Die to cut the loopy scalloped border in Old Olive.  I think the Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder made a lovely background in Whisper White, for the delicate die cuts:
