Tonight marks the return for 2021 of the Colour Creations Showcase, co-ordinated by Catherine Proctor. A group of us shares creations using designated Stampin' Up! colours; we're working our way alphabetically through the whole colour range. This week's colour is Night of Navy. Cathy has a comprehensive list on her blog of all participants in the showcase. We would love it if you visited all our blogs, and left some comment love if you feel so inclined. :)
Warning: my card contains Night of Navy floral overload! 😄
I have used Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper, which is one of the Sale-A-Bration freebies you can earn with a $90 product order. I've teamed the paper with the new Vine Design bundle, which includes the sentiment stamp and die, and the lovely floral die that forms the focal piece of my card.
Here's a close-up of the floral die-cuts. The entire piece was cut from Night Of Navy card. I've overlaid some flowers stamped in Night of Navy ink, and some in Seaside Spray ink. Opal Rounds, a new embellishment, were added to the centres of the Night of Navy die-cut flowers:
Here's a close-up of the sentiment, white-embossed on Night of Navy card, then die-cut. Please forgive the stray specks of embossing powder; those became apparent to me only when I zoomed in on the finished card, to photograph it!
Listed below are the products used to make this card. If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.
Be sure to visit Cathy's blog, to see her beautiful Night of Navy creation, along with the list of participants in this week's share.
Christine I had totally overlooked this vine bundle but after seeing your beautiful card I definitely need to revisit the catalogue. I love that large die piece in Night of Navy - stunning! Thank you for sharing your Night of Navy inspiration with us all.
ReplyDeleteWow, I thought that the floral feature was a stamp, not a die! Off to check out the catalogue yet again, but not until I've finished admiring your gorgeous card!
ReplyDeleteThat’s very Scandinavian or Dutch or German - not sure exactly which, but I did chuckle about your description of Navy Floral overload! Easily done with that paper - but it’s a lovely cohesive design card and the texture of the vine die perfectly compliments the DSP!
ReplyDeleteI love what you have done with the vine die and I am another who has overlooked it. It works wonderfully with the DSP you have used as well.
ReplyDeleteLove the die I had seen them in the catalogue but they didn't really appeal to me but you have changed my mind. Great Card, Christine.
ReplyDeleteOoh this Vine Design Bundle really interested me when I first looked through the catalogue and you have created a stunning card, even with all the flowers ;) It looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteSimply gorgeous Christine. I love those tiny sweet flowers in the DSP pattern. Beautifully put together card.
ReplyDeleteThere is no such thing as Night of Navy floral overload Christine!!! I love all the layers. They create so much interest. Fab card.
