STAMPIN' UP! MIXED FLORALS FRIENDSHIP CARD

This week I'll be sharing some cards I have made using the Mixed Florals bundle (of stamps and dies), co-ordinating Mixed Media Florals Designer Series Paper, and some other beautiful Online Exclusives from Stampin' Up!  

I love the size of the floral stamps in this bundle.  Tulips are one of my favourite flowers, too, so buying these products was a "no brainer" for me!

This card is on a Thick Basic White base, with the busy DSP matted on a layer of Shy Shamrock card.

The Petal Pink rectangle has had a bit of treatment 😄.  I first ran it through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, using the Pattern of Friendship Die.  Next, I rotated the piece of card 90 degrees, and ran it through again, using the same die.  This created a plaid-type pattern, rather than the linear pattern of one pass through the machine.  Finally, I used a Textured Notes Die, to add a decorative border to the rectangle.

Here's a closer view of the details on the Petal Pink layer.

The focal image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, on Basic White card.  I used Stampin' Blends Markers to colour it.  The tulips are Petal Pink, the smaller flowers Calypso Coral, and I used Granny Apple Green for the stems and leaves.  After die-cutting the image, I used my Light Petal Pink Stampin' Blends Marker to colour the white areas.

The bow in the corner was made with White 1/4" Diagonal Trim, and adhered with Mini Glue Dots.

I used the Mixed Labels bundle (another Online Exclusive) to create the sentiment.   After stamping the words in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, on Basic White card, I cut it out using one of the great label dies in the set.

The embellishments added to the sentiment label are Blooming Pearls and In Color Shimmer Gems.
