STAMPIN' UP! THANKFUL GARDEN BIRTHDAY CARD #1 IN CRUSHED CURRY AND GARDEN GREEN

I'm back from Stampin' Up!'s annual OnStage event, held in Brisbane last week.  It took me a few days to recover from the excitement, of catching up with lots of friends, seeing new products and getting an advance copy of the new Annual Catalogue coming out in May!  I've been attending Stampin' Up! events for 15 years now, and just love them.

Today I am sharing another card in my Thankful Garden series, also using the co-ordinating Lovely Garden Designer Series Paper.

I have used only the two colours of ink - Crushed Curry and Garden Green - and Blending Brushes, to colour the stamped flowers and leaves.  Using the numbered masks/stencils in the bundle, I laid down a soft layer of colour first, gradually increasing the intensity as I used each mask.

I love the sweet floral paper that looks like wallpaper.  I have mounted this, and the Garden Green patterned paper, on a Crushed Curry card layer.  A few extra leaves were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, directly onto the same Garden Green DSP as I used on the front of my card.  I cut them out with the co-ordinating die, then tucked them behind the larger flowers.

Starburst Sequins, in Crushed Curry and White, adorn the flower centres, and embellish the lower portion of the card.

The stamped, coloured and die-cut flowers are sitting on a Basic White rectangle, cut using a Textured Notes Die.

From a piece of Basic White card, I die-cut a Fancy Border, to add a little detail either side of the white rectangle.  Using a Blending Brush, and Garden Green ink, I coloured this piece to co-ordinate with the other Garden Green elements on my card.

On another piece of Basic White card, I stamped the sentiment, from Unbounded Love, using Crushed Curry ink.  After cutting it out using an oval Framed Scenes Die, I sponged the edges with Crushed Curry ink.  The bow was made from White 1/4" Ribbon, and attached using Glue Dots.
