STAMPIN' UP! THANKFUL GARDEN BIRTHDAY CARD #2 IN CRUSHED CURRY AND GARDEN GREEN

Again I have used Crushed Curry for the flowers on my card, featuring the Thankful Garden bundle.  This time I have used a light hand when applying ink with my Blending Brushes, yielding a much more subtle result.

There are so many beautiful papers in the Lovely Garden Designer Series Paper pack.  How pretty are the shades of Garden Green, in this paper?  I sponged the edges of the floral paper with Garden Green ink, before matting the DSP on a layer of Garden Green card.

Here's a closer look at some of the details on my card.  I stamped the sentiment, from Unbounded Love, directly onto a piece of Garden Green DSP.  I used Versamark ink to stamp the words, then sprinkled white embossing powder over the ink.  I melted the powder with my Heat Tool, then cut out the sentiment label using a Something Fancy Die.  Garden Green ink was sponged around the edges of the die-cut piece.

I had cut a Crushed Curry Textured Notes frame, then changed my mind about using it.  Instead I snipped off the sides, and used narrow strips of a couple of edges, to decorate my focal art piece.  After die-cutting a Basic White Textured Notes frame, I embossed it using the Mini Corrugated 3D embossing folder.  I mounted this piece on a slightly larger Crushed Curry piece of card, then glued the cut-off Crushed Curry frame bits to the top and bottom.

I stamped the flowers and leaves in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Using Blending Brushes and Crushed Curry and Garden Green inks, I gently coloured the stamped images.  Extra leaves were stamped on Garden Green DSP, and die-cut.

The bow, made from Daffodil Delight 1/8" Satin Ribbon, is attached with Mini Glue Dots.  I used Starburst Sequins to decorate the centre of the stamped flowers.
