This week some of my Stampin' Up! friends and I are showcasing Real Red on our projects. I've always been a "red girl", and when I first started using Stampin' Up! products, Real Red featured heavily on my cards. I haven't used it so much in recent years, so really enjoyed this week's challenge. Cathy Proctor co-ordinates our weekly Colour Creations Showcases, and she has on her blog a comprehensive list of everyone participating this week. We hope you enjoy checking out all our creations.
I have teamed Real Red with Pool Party and Basic White, adding accents in Crumb Cake and Basic Black. I've employed the same background technique used on my last Colour Creations card - laying horizontal die-cut strips of Designer Series Paper to fill the card front.
Listed below are all the products I used to make this card. If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.
Be sure to visit Cathy's blog, to see her beautiful Real Red project, and to find the links to the blogs of all other participants in this week's showcase.
I so enjoyed playing with Real Red that I made another couple of cards. I will share them with you tomorrow, and the next day ... so please come back to visit!
What a great colour combination and a fantastic layout Christine. I love the little touches of detail like the rhinestones in the centre of your flowers and vellum die cut behind them. Thank you for sharing your Real Red project with us all tonight xx
ReplyDeleteThe background you've been using makes for such an interesting background. It sets off the flowers a treat Christine.
ReplyDeleteLove the colour combination Christine and such beautiful layering, particularly with the neutrals. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteAnother great card Christine. I love your background piecing of die cut rectangles as stripes - so clever. I love your colour combo and your layering of flowers with vellum and die cut leaves is beautiful. Your colouring of the rhinestones gives that special touch. xxx
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, Christine. I love the vellum Flowering Vine die behind the gorgeous flowers and your wonderful background again is fabulous.
ReplyDeleteOoh, ooh, ooh, I LOVE this card Christine! I LOVE the colour combo, I LOVE the design, and I LOVE that striking touch of black in contrast to the overall softness of the card.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty card, Christine! The colour combo is gorgeous, and I love the little pop of black. The flowers look incredible.
ReplyDeleteYour flower cluster looks fabulous on top of your layered background.
