STAMPIN' UP! CIRCLE CELEBRATION IN REAL RED

My original plan, for this week's Real Red Colour Creations Showcase, was to share a card made using the Circle Celebration stamp set.  I wasn't entirely happy with the outcome of this card, though, so decided to share another of my Real Red creations last night.

Bearing in mind that often when I don't like my cards, others do, I decided to share this card after all.  Perhaps it will inspire someone, to use Circle Celebration in a way they hadn't thought of.

My starting point was a large Basic White Stitched Circle, on which I stamped flowers from the Circle Celebration stamp set.  I stamped the larger open flower repeatedly, then filled in space with the small solid-petal flower.

This card was made with my old-time favourite colour combination, of Real Red, Crumb Cake and Basic Black.  Tucked behind the focal circle are some leaves die-cut from Basic Black card using Perennial Petals Dies, and a Circle Celebration flower stamped in Real Red on Basic White card, then die cut using Layering Circles Dies.  As you can see from the above close-up shot, the Crumb Cake card has been embossed with the Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder.

I stamped and die-cut three more of the circle flower stamps, from Circle Celebration.  These were arranged across the card front, after I'd layered some Real Red Designer Series Paper over the Crumb Cake panel.  Matte Black Dots have been added to some of the flower centres, and the ribbon I used across the card is Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon.

Listed below are all the products used to make this card.  If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.

I hope you'll come back to visit tomorrow, to see the third Real Red card I made this week.

  1. Haha personally this one IS my favourite of the 2 Real Red cards. I've been toying with this stamp set for some time so you may have just swayed me. A lovely card with a striking colour combo.
