Today's card started with a piece of True Love Designer Series Paper, that I coloured with Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape inks, using Blending Brushes. I applied colour lightly at the bottom, increasing the intensity moving up the paper, ending up with quite dark Gorgeous Grape at the top. I attached the paper to a panel of Purple Posy card.
The focal image, a bouquet of flowers, was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White card. Using Stampin' Blends markers, I coloured the flowers in Highland Heather and Purple Posy.
After cutting out a stitched circle from the centre of the daisy paper (and card layer below), I added in a die-cut stitched circle of polka dot True Love Designer Series Paper, and offset the floral circle just above it. I attached the bouquet, with a few Smoky Slate die-cut leaves tucked behind, to the coloured circle. Some Purple Posy resin dots, and a white twine bow, provide finishing touches.
To create the "grounding" strips for the sentiment, I laid some Purple Posy and Smoky Slate card strips onto a piece of Adhesive Sheet. I cut it to my card front width, embossed the piece with the Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder, and adhered it to my card. The word "happy" was stamped on a scrap of Basic White card, and cropped with a sentiment label from Smooth Sailing Dies. The "birthday" was die-cut, from Gorgeous Grape card, using Well Written Dies.
