AWHT COLOUR CREATIONS SHOWCASE - WEEK 35: POOL PARTY

This week, a number of us from the Art With Heart Stampin' Up! team in Australia are sharing creations made with Pool Party - the 35th Stampin' Up! colour we've worked with so far, in alphabetical order!  Cathy Proctor co-ordinates our showcases each week, and has on her blog a comprehensive list of everyone taking part in this week's share.

I have used the beautiful Lots of Heart bundle to create a thank you card, using Pool Party, Whisper White, and Basic Black.  The Many Hearts dies in this bundle are amazing - LOTS of heart options, along with some flowers and leaves.

I knew I wanted to use the loopy hearts border die on my card, so chose a co-ordinating heart-shaped stamp for my focal point.  I inked the stamp in Versamark ink, stamped it on Pool Party card, and heat-embossed it using white embossing powder.  I cut it out using the scalloped (and stitched - love that!) heart die.  Over the top I laid a second Pool Party die-cut scalloped heart, on which I cut out the centre with yet another heart die.  The sentiments, stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and Pool Party ink, were cut out using Floral Gallery label dies.

Here's a closer look at the sweet smaller hearts, and flowers, and a peek at the subtle embossing on the Whisper White panel matted onto the card front.  I ran the white panel through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine, in the Subtle 3D embossing folder.  I then took the embossed card out, turned it 90 degrees, and ran it back through to emboss a second time, given a linen look.  The floral sprays were stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink, on Whisper White card, and coloured with Stampin' Blends markers.  I used Pool Party (light and dark) for the flowers, and Light Basic Black for the leaves.  Matte Black Dots were added to the centres of the larger flowers, and scattered on the paper background.

Isn't the patterned paper lovely?  It's the new Subtles 6"x6" Designer Series Paper that will be out in our next Annual Catalogue, in June.  You can, however, get all the new colour collections in these papers for FREE, now, if you sign up as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator!  This offer is on until the end of February (and represents $100 worth of free paper, which is pretty awesome).

Listed below are all the current Stampin' Up! products used on my card.  If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.

  5. So love your card Christine. The way you have used Pool Party is so elegant and is simply lovely with Black & White alone. You have combined the various elements beautifully. xxx

  6. Your card is so pretty and sweet, Christine. I love all those hearts and confess to not taking much notice of the Lots of Heart bundle, but I will take a closer look at it now. I love the look of the white embossed heart that echo's your border hearts, and that patterned paper is most definitely gorgeous!
