STAMPIN' UP! POPPY PARADE BIRTHDAY CARD

Today I am sharing with you the second card I made, after colouring flowers from the True Love Designer Series Paper, in Poppy Parade.

I have paired some dotty Poppy Parade Designer Series Paper with a piece of Granny Apple Green Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper, for my background.

I coloured the flowers with Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends markers, the leaves with Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends, and the flower centres with Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends, before fussy-cutting them from the 12"x12" sheet of paper.

On a Stitched Shape die-cut circle, I stamped the sentiment (from the awesome Happy Thoughts stamp set), in Poppy Parade ink.  I used my Stamparatus to achieve good depth of colour.  The first inked impression was quite pale, and orangey; it took re-inking and stamping four times to achieve this colour result!  I matted the circle on a Basic Black scalloped circle, and added Matte Black Dots and Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon.
