Stampin' Up! has released lots of beautiful new Online Exclusives, which are products you won't find in any catalogue. They are in my Stampin' Up! store, and I encourage you to go check them out! My favourite new suite of products is called the Lovely Garden Suite Collection. On the card I am sharing today, I have used stamps, dies, masks (stencils), papers and sequins from the suite.
Just look at that gorgeous background, created with the Pattern of Friendship Die! I have used the die on a piece of floral patterned paper, with a small pattern. Doesn't it look like wallpaper?
I stamped the hydrangea in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, on Basic White card. There are five masks in the Thankful Garden bundle, and using them (and a blending brush) to colour the images is super-simple. I used only Fresh Freesia ink for my flowers, varying the amount of ink I used for each of the three layers. The first, overall, layer was very light. I added a bit more colour to the petals, and a heavier hand again for the darkest details.
The gorgeous Starburst Sequins are part of the suite, or can be purchased separately.
Using the masks, I also coloured the stem and leaves with one ink colour - Garden Green.
The ribbon used for my bow is White 1/4" Ribbon (not part of the suite, but also a new Online Exclusive product). I coloured the ribbon with the Dark Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends Marker, and used Glue Dots to attach the bow.
Both the Fresh Freesia and Garden Green patterned papers are from the Lovely Garden Designer Series Paper pack. I added a white die-cut border to the join between the two papers. The new Fancy Borders Dies were used to create the pretty scalloped piece.
The sentiment is from the new Arched Wishes stamp set. I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp it onto Fresh Freesia card, and cut it out using a flagged label die from Greetings of the Season Dies. I snipped both ends off, deciding I wanted it shorter! The sentiment label, and Fresh Freesia floral paper, was sponged around the edges with Fresh Freesia ink. I sponged Garden Green ink around the Garden Green DSP panel, before layering these pieces on a Fresh Freesia card mat (and Thick Basic White card base).
I can see I will love creating with the Thankful Garden bundle. Using the masks, to colour the stamped images, is a heap of fun, and gives beautiful results, don't you think?
Listed below are all the products I used to make my card. Look out for more pretty floral cards in the coming days!
