STAMPIN' UP! COUNTRY FLOWERS BIRTHDAY CARD FEATURING PEACH PIE

Tonight's blog hop, focussing on the beautiful new In Color called Peach Pie, is the first Colour Creations blog hop in the 2024-2025 round.  Once again, we're going to really enjoy working our way through Stampin' Up!'s colour range, in alphabetical order.   Before we get to the alphabetical order part,  we're starting off with the new colours introduced in the Annual Catalogue just released.

The Country Flowers bundle is a lovely new stamp and die bundle, that I am already having a lot of fun creating with.  I have used it in conjunction with several other gorgeous new products, to make my first Peach Pie card.

Let's take a closer look at the details on my card.

The Peach Pie background was created with a piece of patterned paper from the Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper pack.  I embossed it with the Eyelet 3D embossing folder, sponged the edges with Peach Pie ink, and matted it on a piece of Peach Pie card.

Both sentiments on my card are from the Country Birdhouse stamp set.  I can see these being "go to" sentiments in my crafting, this coming year.  I love the mix, and styles, of fonts.  After stamping the "happy birthday" in Basic Gray ink on Peach Pie card, I cut it out using a Happy Little Things Die.  I sponged the edges with Peach Pie ink, before adhering the sentiment strip to the background.

The teapot and floral arrangement were stamped in Basic Gray ink on Basic White card, then cut out using co-ordinating dies.  I used Stampin' Blends markers to color both images.  The flowers are coloured with Peach Pie and Petunia Pop Stampin' Blends, and the leaves are Smoky Slate.  I coloured the teapot using Peach Pie Stampin' Blends.  I then used masking paper and Paper Snips (after stamping the teapot onto the masking paper) to isolate the stamped and coloured area, and using the "negative" I stamped a pattern on the teapot using Peach Pie ink.  This little decorative stamp, from the Country Flowers stamp set, beautifully complements the patterns in the strip of Smoky Slate DSP, and the Eyelet 3D embossed background.

The Smoky Slate paper is from the Country Lace Designer Series Paper pack.  I sponged the edges with Smoky Slate ink before adhering it to the Peach Pie background.

I used a Spotlight on Nature Die to cut the decorative circle from Basic White card.

The sweet  little gems are new In Color Shimmer Gems.

Here's the last of my three close-ups, showing the bottom of the card front.  I added a third piece of patterned paper to my card - a thin strip of Petunia Pop floral paper from the Unbounded Beauty DSP pack.  This piece, and the sentiment strip of Petunia Pop card, has been sponged with Petunia Pop ink before being stuck down.

I wrapped some Peach Pie Bordered Ribbon around my card front layers, before gluing everything down onto the Thick Basic White card base.  I did this before adhering the lovely circle containing my focal art piece.  To finish off, I added a bow made from the same ribbon, over the top of the circle.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink on the strip of Petunia Pop card, and heat-embossed in white.

Such a beautiful card my friend. I especially love the pattern added to the teapot and a great explanation of how you achieved it. The Spotlight on Nature die is also the perfect choice as the mat.

  6. Christine your combination of Peach Pie and Petunia Pop is an inspired choice. They work so well back with the 'neutral' DSP. I really appreciate the care you have taken to add the pattern to the teapot. It is a beautiful finishing touch, as is your signature bow.

  7. So many wonderful details Christine! I was going to say how much I love orange and purple together. Then I read that you have used Petunia Pop and I just got confused because my Petunia Pop ink and card and definitely pink not purple. Is it my eyes or my ipad, or do we have different shades of product?
