I recently bought the beautiful Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set, and co-ordinating Sunflowers Dies. Tonight's share is my first card made with them, and I think it's my favourite of all the cards I have made recently!
Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper, with its Bumblebee and Crumb Cake patterned papers, was the perfect choice for my card.
Starting off with the big sunflower, I first die-cut the outline layer from Basic White card, making sure I adhered the card to some Adhesive Sheet first (this makes sticking down the intricate die-cut much easier). I cut the solid (base layer) sunflower head from a piece of the Bumblebee DSP - the same as I have used on the bottom half of my card front. I also cut the flower centre from this paper. Using sponge daubers, I added Bumblebee ink to the outer edges and around the centre of the yellow flower, and Soft Suede ink to the flower centre.
The larger leaves were die cut from the solid leaf die, from some of the Crumb Cake paper in the Harvest Meadow pack. I sponged Crumb Cake ink around the edges, then added the open-detail top layer of the leaves, cut from Soft Suede card. The smaller leaves were stamped in Crumb Cake ink on the same Crumb Cake paper, die cut, then sponged around the edges with Crumb Cake ink.
I've used the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder on the Basic White background, raised the large sunflower up on Stampin' Dimensionals, and added Matte Decorative Dots.
Some of the other details I added were a Bumblebee gingham bow, on top of a strip of the same ribbon, and a Peony Die border cut from Soft Suede card.
On the bottom half of the card front, I added a stamped and die-cut smaller sunflower, to anchor the sentiment. I stamped the image on the same paper as in the background, using Soft Suede ink. I coloured the image using Stampin' Write markers in Bumblebee, Soft Suede and Crumb Cake.
The sentiment, from the Artistically Inked stamp set, was stamped in Soft Suede ink on a strip of the same paper as the background. I then cut it out using the Messages Die, and sponged the edges with Bumblebee ink before sticking it down over the top of the smaller sunflower.
Listed below are all the products I used to make this card. If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.
