This week's Colour Creations blog hop is all about Just Jade, one of Stampin' Up!'s In Colors, in our range until next year.
A recent addition to my craft stash is the gorgeous Henna Hearts stamp set, which features on tonight's card.
I stamped the heart in Just Jade ink on a piece of Basic White card, and cut it out using a Layering Circles Die. I used Light and Dark Just Jade Stampin' Blends to colour the inside of the heart image. In my photo, the coloured heart looks a lot more yellowy-green than the bluish-green of Just Jade, but in real life I think it's less stark of a difference!
I matted the die-cut circle on a scalloped circle of Just Jade card, and attached that to a Basic White die-cut made with new Eden Dies. A few Matte Black Dots were added to the stamped piece.
Next up on tonight's blog hop is Rosa Leyden. If you click on the button below, you will be taken to her blog.

Christine I have not seen many cards using this stamp set - wow, it is amazing! ,Love your bow and the way you've created the sentiment too - it is all so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThat Dotty Hearts EF is so sweet! Lovely card Christine with so many cute elements added.
ReplyDeleteChristine, I hadn't even noticed this stamp set in the catalogue, but wow, what a beautiful card you have created. I love the embossed dotty hearts layer and the ribbons too!
ReplyDeleteLovely Card Christine, I can't say I have seen this stamp set I had to go look for it.
ReplyDeleteAs everyone else has said, I also hadn't noticed this stamp set before now. You've managed to showcase it beautifully. As always it's all the "little"elements that make your cards so beautiful. In this case the use of the 2 different ribbons and the 2 different gems and dots. and the Dotty hearts panel is very cute.
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous monochromatic card, Christine. I love the addition of the black gingham ribbon! I love gingham!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful monochromatic card Christine. I think it is the thing I like most about these hops - seeing things used in unexpected ways or seeing stamp sets that I have never considered used to create stunning cards. Your card displays this perfectly.
