STAMPIN' UP! THANKS CARD FOR PP540

I don't use as much red in my crafting as I did, once upon a time, so I decided to take part in this week's colour challenge at The Paper Players:

I started off by colouring images on True Love Designer Series Paper - the roses using Real Red Stampin' Blends markers, and the leaves using Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends markers.  I cut out a few of the coloured flowers, and positioned them on top of, and behind, the windows created with my new Picture This Dies.  After cutting the apertures from Smoky Slate card, I embossed the piece with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder.  The grey layer is attached to a piece of In Good Taste Designer Series Paper, giving the impression of a brick wall.

The top cut-out panel has some flowers tucked underneath, and others sitting on top:

Here's a closer look at the rose added to the bottom window, and the stitched and embossed detail on the Smoky Slate panel:

I also cut some Basic White card using the Picture This Dies, and used the middle rectangle for my sentiment.  I've stamped "thanks", from the You Are Amazing stamp set, in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Thanks to my Stamparatus, I got a nice, crisp, image by reinking and stamping it a few times.  I love the look of the white stitched rectangle inlaid in the space left by the Smoky Slate rectangle that I removed.

Thanks to Laurie, at The Paper Players, for motivating me to use a colour I love but tend to neglect!  I really enjoyed playing with this colour combination.

Listed below are all the products I used to make this card.  If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.
