STAMPIN' UP! A TOUCH OF INK "HELLO FRIEND" CARD

 As promised, here is the second A Touch of Ink card I made today, to celebrate the final day of Sale-a-Bration!  Any Stampin' Up! orders, to the value of $180+, ordered tonight qualify for this stamp set to be added for FREE.  It's a gorgeous set, that I have not used anywhere near enough!

Again, I have paired A Touch of Ink with Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper.  The colour scheme of this card takes me right back to the 1970s - brown, green and yellow (orange as well) featured prominently in the ugly fashion of the day.  Despite this less than happy memory, I am pleased with how the colours came together on my card!

I stamped the butterfly outline in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, on Basic White card.  The "fill in" stamp for the butterfly's wings was inked in Bumblebee ink.  I used Stitched Shapes Dies to cut the stitched circle, and matted this piece on a scalloped circle of Bumblebee card (cut using the Layering Circles Dies).  Some Wink of Stella was added to the butterfly's wings.

The leaves were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink as well, and "fill in" colour added in Old Olive ink.  I fussy cut the leaves before placing them under the butterfly circle.  The sentiment, also from A Touch of Ink, was stamped in Versamark ink on Old Olive card, and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  I cropped this piece with an Ornate Frames Die.  The Bumblebee-coloured embellishments I've scattered on the card are Ice Cream Corner Sprinkles.  These are sweet, light weight, embellishments that are easily adhered with a little liquid glue.

STAMPIN' UP! A TOUCH OF INK "THANKS" CARD

 Today I have had a "last minute" play with A Touch of Ink, a stamp set that is FREE until the end of today, with a $180+ Stampin' Up! order.

I chose my colours from the Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper that I decided to use.  I love the informal look of this "sprinkles" paper, and have made a bright, cheery, card to match.

I stamped the butterfly outline in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, on Basic White card, and added the "fill in" detail in Bermuda Bay ink.  After cutting this piece out with a Stitched Shapes circle, and matting it on a Purple Posy scalloped circle (cut using the Layering Circles Dies), I added some Wink of Stella to the butterfly's wings.

The sentiment, stamped in Bumblebee ink, is from the You Are Amazing stamp set.  I cropped it with a Stitched Rectangles Die, and popped it up on Stampin' Dimensionals.  The Ice Cream Corner Sprinkles add some playful pops of colour.
