STAMPIN' UP! MOODY MAUVE BIRTHDAY CARD

This week's Colour Creations blog hop is all about Moody Mauve, the third new In Color we're introducing you to.  I have teamed Moody Mauve with Boho Blue, Misty Moonlight and Basic White, and made a floral card with lots of texture.

The Sending Smiles stamp set, and co-ordinating Sending Dies, make beautiful sentiments.  I die-cut the "Sending" from Basic White card (using Adhesive Sheet on the back, so I could adhere it to my card like a sticker).  I used the Light Moody Mauve and Light Boho Blue Stampin' Blends markers to colour the letters.

The second part of the sentiment was stamped in Versamark on Moody Mauve card, before being heat-embossed with white embossing powder.  It was cropped with a Sending Die, and stuck on a strip of Boho Blue DSP that is bordered at the top with a thin strip of Misty Moonlight card.  I created a bow from Moody Mauve Textured Ribbon that I had cut in half lengthwise.

Here is a closer look at all the luscious texture, provided by the Basics 3D embossing folder, Artistic Die, and tiny flowers die-cut from Moody Mauve, Misty Moonlight and Boho Blue card (using Sentimental Park Dies).  The flower centres are adorned with new In Color Dots.

Inside the card, I added a think strip of Moody Mauve DSP, to complement the paper on the front of the card.  I had a couple of leftover die-cut flowers, so I used them to finish off my card.
