STAMPIN' UP! EARTHEN TEXTURES THANK YOU CARD IN MOODY MAUVE

I am in LOVE with the new Earthen Textures stamps and dies, and have been crafting up a storm.  Here's the first card I made, focussing on Moody Mauve.  I have also used Crumb Cake, Gray Granite, Pebbled Path and Very Vanilla.

There's a bit going on, texture-wise, on this card!  The beautiful background paper gives the look of texture, without the bulk.  I laid a strip of Pebbled Path DSP across the Moody Mauve panel, to anchor the main art piece.

Using the Countryside Corners bundle, I stamped in Moody Mauve ink on Crumb Cake card, and cut out a frame using two of the dies.  I also used the dies to cut a piece of Very Vanilla card to put behind the pots.  I embossed a pattern on this piece of card, using a die from the Earthen Elegance collection.  It's rather subtle, so I added Crumb Cake ink with a sponge dauber, to bring out the wavy detail.

I used Moody Mauve ink to stamp the pots on Moody Mauve card, and Pebble Path ink to stamp onto Gray Granite card.  To the top of the smaller Moody Mauve pot, I added some handles die-cut from Pebbled Path DSP (the same as in the background of the card).

The sentiment was stamped in Moody Mauve ink on a scrap of Very Vanilla Card.  I used a Sending Die to cut it out, then ran it through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine again, with the sentiment strip moved along a little in the die, to cut it shorter.  I sponged around the edges with Crumb Cake ink.

When I laid Wavy Trim across the front of my card, I was far too liberal with adhesive ... so added a few more layers, in an attempt to disguise my mess.  The first piece of Wavy Trim was secured under the octagonal frame.  I added two shorter pieces across the top of the frame (either side of the sentiment label), and finished off with two Moody Mauve Jute Trim bows.  To complement the built-up height of the trims, I used Foam Adhesive Strip to stick down the sentiment.
