This week's Colour Creations blog hop is all about Pebbled Path, the fourth of the five new Stampin' Up! In Colors we're sharing this month. Pebbled Path is a brownish-grey, that I like to call "elephant grey".
This great colour features in the Let's Go Fishing Designer Series Paper, which is fab for masculine cards. Here's what I came up with:
I cut a panel of the fishing net patterned paper, sponged the edges with Pebbled Path ink, and adhered it to a slightly larger Very Vanilla mat.
The sentiment, from Phrases For All, was stamped in Pebbled Path ink on Very Vanilla card, and cut out using a Deckled Rectangles die. After running this piece through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine, I moved the die cut piece up a little, and cropped it using one long edge of the Deckled Rectangle die. A couple of In Color Dots were added to the sentiment label.
Pebbled Path Textured Ribbon was laid across my card front, and I added a knot made from two strands of Boho Blue Jute Trim.
More In Color Dots (in Boho Blue, as well as Pebbled Path) were added to the background.
Because my card base is Pebbled Path, and too dark to write on with most pens, I added a Very Vanilla piece to the inside. I decorated it with a piece of the fish patterned paper, to complement the design on the card front.
