HEART OF CHRISTMAS WEEK 20: STAMPIN' UP! BRIGHTEST GLOW TREES IN GREENS

The card I'm sharing this week  is a bit of a departure from my usual layout, in that I covered the entire front of the Thick Basic White card base with Designer Series Paper.  I used two of the patterns in the Lights Aglow DSP pack, and added a strip of Gold Metallic Specialty DSP across the join.

I die-cut one tree from Soft Succulent card, and one from Evening Evergreen card.  The star atop the  Soft Succulent tree was cut from the same Gold Metallic Specialty DSP as the horizontal strip.  I used Distressed Gold DSP for the star on the Evening Evergreen tree.

I added In Color Opal Rounds to the background, and affixed a bow made from Evening Evergreen Open Weave Ribbon

After stamping the sentiment in Evening Evergreen ink, on Very Vanilla card, I cut it out using a Labels Aglow Die.  I trimmed the left-hand end, to have the sentiment panel sit flush against the card edge.

  1. How clever of you to position the Evening Evergreen tree over a spot in the bokeh DSP - it looks like the star is glowing! Totally intentional - right? Your card is gorgeous. I love the borderless look, and the sentiment off to the side.

  2. So very elegant and verdant, Christine! The Gold Metallic Specialty DSP is so gorgeous and you've used it perfectly in this card.

  3. I like how the card front is covered entirely with DSP, and how you used two different pieces with a gold metallic strip across the join. Those trees look fantastic and the sentiment trimmed to the edge of card looks great!

  4. I just love these two greens together Christine. Both patterns are a perfect combination and the gold strip across the centre adds the right touch of elegance. Caroline.
