This week's Colour Creations blog hop is all about Mango Melody, a yellowy-orange that I VERY seldom use. I enjoyed making this happy card ... Mango Melody is a colour that can really lift the spirits, don't you think?
I inked up one of the flowers from the True Beauty stamp set, in Mango Melody ink, and stamped it on Mango Melody card. After doing this twice, I stamped the same flower in Versamark ink on Mango Melody card, and white heat-embossed it. The stems and leaves were stamped in Granny Apple Green ink on Granny Apple Green card, three times. All of these pieces were cut out with the co-ordinating dies, and I used Paper Snips to trim a leaf from the middle stem.
Black & White Gingham Ribbon was used to create the bow that adorns the bunch of flowers, and Classic Matte Dots were added to finish off.
The sentiment, from Very Best Occasions, was stamped on Mango Melody card in Versamark ink, and black heat-embossed. I cut out the sentiment using a Labels Aglow Die, and subtly added Mango Melody ink with a Blending Brush.

Wow, beautiful, bright and happy card Christine. I love the black stitching around the outside of the card. And all those layers on the background look amazing.
ReplyDeleteChristine, your hand stamped and masked background DSP is fabulous! This card really does make me happy. Such a wonderful showcase of and celebration of Mango Melody - I bet you are going to use this colour more often now?
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely sentiment, and one that's bound to make the recipient feel very special, indeed! The flowers are wonderful, and I love the inked DSP - so effective.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that Stitchery stamp is just amazing on this happy card, Christine. The masked background and brushed colour really sets up your card beautifully and the sentiment acts like a sun pouring over the pretty trio of flowers. Gorgeous card.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful happy card Christine. Your inked DSP in the background is amazing. I love the faux stitching. (I must get this stamp out and ink it up.) The stamped flowers with one heat embossed is great, especially with the touches of black embellishment. Xxx
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely card Christine, love the sentiment.
