HEART OF CHRISTMAS WEEK 10: STAMPIN' UP! SPRUCED UP OUTLINES GLIMMERY TREE

 

Every Monday night, until the end of November, a group of us (all Stampin' Up! demonstrators in Australia) will be sharing Christmas projects, to inspire you to use Stampin' Up! products on your cards, tags and gifts.

The card I'm sharing tonight is a simple, easily replicated, design.  I'm a little besotted with the Glimmer 12"x12" Specialty Paper in Stampin' Up!'s range this year, and have made a glimmery tree the focus of my card. 

I cut two of the larger trees (using Spruced Up Outlines Dies) ... one from Evening Evergreen glimmer paper, and the other from Very Vanilla glimmer paper.  As you can see in my photos, I used the Very Vanilla outline around the solid Evening Evergreen tree.  The die cuts were mounted on a Scalloped Contours rectangle, cut from Lights Aglow Designer Series Paper.  The full-length vertical mat is another paper from the Lights Aglow pack, and I added a Very Vanilla glimmer scalloped border to each side.  The border diecuts were created with a Penned Flowers Die.

On the Soft Succulent card base, I used a stamp from Merriest Moments to add subtle splotchy detail.  I stamped the image repeatedly in Versamark ink, then added a little more detail with the stamp inked in Soft Succulent ink (but stamped off on scrap paper every time, to give just a light impression on the card).

The beautiful sentiment, from Brightest Glow, was stamped in Versamark ink on Very Vanilla card.  After heat-embossing it in gold, I cut it out using a Harvest Die, and added a Brushed Metallic Dot either side of the greeting.
