STAMPIN' UP! CHARMING SENTIMENTS FLORAL CARD IN FLIRTY FLAMINGO

This week I missed out on the Colour Creations blog hop I love to participate in, as I was away on holiday.  The feature colour was Flirty Flamingo, a bright coral pink that I seldom use.  I might have to change that, though, after seeing the gorgeous creations of nine of my Stampin' Up! friends.  Head over to Cathy Proctor's blog, to see the list of everyone who took part in the blog hop.

Before I went away, I had made a start on my Flirty Flamingo card, so I decided to finish it off and share it now.  I've gone with a floral theme, with the embossing folder and two sets of dies providing detail.

On a Thick Basic White card base, I adhered a Basic White card layer, matted behind a Flirty Flamingo panel that I embossed with the Pretty Flowers embossing folder.

The sentiment, using the Charming Sentiments bundle, was white heat-embossed on Flirty Flamingo card.  I die-cut a floral spray from vellum, using Artistic Dies, and used Paper Snips to tailor it how I wanted it.  Before die-cutting, I stuck an Adhesive Sheet to the back of the vellum piece, to make it easy to cleanly adhere the vellum when I was ready.

From Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, using Artisan Additions Dies, I cut the two leafy/floral sprays that adorn the left-hand side of my card front.  I loosely coloured the foliage using my Granny Apple Green Stampin' Write Marker, and the flowers using my Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Write Marker, then spread the ink around using a Water Painter.

Some white Classic Matte Dots were the only other embellishment added; I felt there was enough going on with all the floral texture!

I look forward to resuming normal programming, with next week's Heart of Christmas blog hop on Monday night, and Colour Creations blog hop on Wednesday night.  Although it was nice to get away, I missed playing along this week.

Listed below are all the products I used to make my card.  If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.
