It's good to be back, with the Heart of Christmas blog hop; I missed out on last week's share, as I was away from home for a week. For this week's blog hop, I have made two cards, featuring Merriest Moments and the glorious co-ordinating Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder. I hope you're ready for some sparkle, because these cards are a little OTT! I've used Lights Aglow Designer Series Paper, and Glimmer Specialty Paper, on both cards.
My first card features my two favourite Christmas greens, Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent, along with splashes of gold.
I stamped the sentiment in Evening Evergreen ink, on a square piece of paper cut from a Lights Aglow sheet. I trimmed it to size to fit behind the rectangular aperture in the glimmery frame. Using Evening Evergreen Glimmer Paper (this stuff is lush!), I first embossed the leafy frame, then ran it back through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine using the detailed frame die.
I added a few gold glimmer stars, cut using Spruced Up Outlines Dies, and dotted Soft Succulent pearls around the frame.
Here's a better look at the glimmer and shine:
The sentiment for this card was gold heat-embossed on a Basic White die-cut rectangle, that fits snugly inside the gold frame.
I added two small die-cut stars (also created with the Spruced Up Outlines Dies), and some white Classic Matte Dots.
This photo better shows the beautiful shine of the gold-embossed sentiment, and the luxurious gold Glimmer Specialty Paper:

Wow, Christine, not one but two gorgeous sparkly glimmer cards! Yes, both your cards are totally lush!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness! The green sparkles are amazing, but the black and gold is spectacular!
ReplyDeleteChristine, so much beautiful shimmer and gold on both your cards. Wow on the black and gold - it looks very regal! Caroline.
ReplyDeleteWow, two luscious and sparkly Christmas cards. I love the Merriest Moments bundle and the way you have paired it with the Lights Aglow DSP and the Glimmer Paper. Beautiful. Xxx
ReplyDeleteOh wow, love all the glimmer and sparkle, Christine. Both cards are stunning, but that second one, has a real wow with all the Gold!!!
ReplyDeleteWow your cards are definitely sparkly Christine. Both cards are lovely but I actually like the second one with its drama using the black and gold. Both cards feature the Lights Aglow paper beautifully.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of bling! Very Christmassy! That DSP is so versatile, and I would have thought it sparkly enough on it's own - but how good is it with the extra sparkle?!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful beautiful cards Christine. I love all the glimmer and shimmer to give a ‘wow’ factor. This DSP is definitely one of my faves in the Mini catalogue.
