Every Monday night, until mid-December, I'm joining in with a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around Australia, sharing Christmas projects using Stampin' Up! products.
Tonight I am sharing a couple of cards showcasing the Whimsy & Wonder Designer Series Paper. This paper is so pretty ... not much extra detail is needed.
Look at the beautiful metallic detail in this paper:
I matted the ornament paper on a layer of Silver Foil Specialty Paper.
Here's a close-up of the sentiment (from the Inspired Thoughts stamp set), white-embossed on a piece of Mint Macaron card and cropped with an Ornate Frames Die. I added some White Glittered Organdy Ribbon, and In Color Jewels, to finish off the card.
My second card features the somewhat unlikely combination of Mossy Meadow and Polished Pink. I fussy-cut a number of presents from a piece of Whimsy & Wonder DSP, and adhered them over the bottom of an Ornate Layers rectangular die-cut. The panel has been embossed with a Dots & Checks embossing folder, and decorated with a couple of strips of other patterns in the DSP pack.
The sentiment (from the Whimsical Trees stamp set) is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink, on a Basic White piece of card that I cropped with a Stitched So Sweetly Die.
Here's a close-up of the Polished Pink bow, and a few of the presents. Aren't the polka dots, and the In Color Jewels, such cute touches?

Two gorgeous cards, Christine. The bauble paper looks amazing on the first, and I love how you've framed it with the Silver Foil. The second card is super cute, with the pile of beautifully wrapped gifts.
ReplyDeleteWow, gorgeous card Christine! I think you’ve used these papers perfectly, you’re right they’re too beautiful to put too much on them
ReplyDeleteOh Christine, these are absolutely adorable! I just love the feminine touch, the beautiful selection of ribbon bows and the jewels. Love them both so much.
ReplyDeleteIsn't this suite just gorgeous ? I really like the softness of your first card. The polka dots and presents work really well for your second card too. Very nifty how you have caught the top of the DSP in the die cut border for the second card too. Coordinates great with the polka dot theme.
ReplyDeleteBoth these cards are adorable Christine - you've really showcased both these DSPs beautifully. I really like the contrast of the Mossy Meadow and Polished Pink on your second card, especially.
ReplyDeleteThis is a gorgeous suite and Christine you have showcased the papers nicely. Loving your second card with the presents bundled on the ornate panel. Your first card is very pretty and feminine and nicely finished with the white Organdy ribbon.
ReplyDeleteTwo wonderful cards Christine and I love the Inspired thoughts stamp set and that sentiment is perfect! I really love the mossy meadow card with the dark green background and the presents along the front.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are beautiful Christine but I particularly like all the texture and interest on the second one. Your first card is also gorgeous. I have only used the B-Side of this paper because I am actually intimated by it's busy design. But, here you are using it to create a beautiful soft and subtle card.
ReplyDeleteOh Christine, both of your cards are so pretty! This is my No.1 favourite Christmas DSP pack, and I love how you have showcased it on your cards. I’m yet to put Polished Pink with Mossy Meadow, I guess I will now because I love it!
