STAMPIN' UP! SENDING HUGS CARD IN FLIRTY FLAMINGO #2

When I was working out the balance of colour on my Colour Creations card for last night, I stamped and die cut a few different elements.  Here is a second card made using the same products, but in a slightly different way:

I wasn't happy with the stencilled background, and nearly threw it away - but I'm glad I didn't!  I now think it's really pretty.  A good lesson in walking away from something for a while, and revisiting it with fresh eyes!  On a piece of Basic White card, I used a Blending Brush to create an ombre effect with Flirty Flamingo ink, and a Plenty of Patterns Decorative Mask.  I subtly blended ink over the pattern as well, so the background wasn't stark white.

The main panel is a Basic White scalloped rectangle, cut from a Stitched So Sweetly Die.  In Basic Gray and Flirty Flamingo inks, I added some wonky "stitched" lines, from the Stitchery stamp set, deliberately overlapping them in an irregular way.  I die-cut the leafy piece from Smoky Slate ink, and added Flirty Flamingo letters raised up on Foam Adhesive Sheet.

You can see the Stitchery stamping more clearly here.  I hadn't realised the tiny die-cut sentiment labels came out with that irregular imprint (these old eyes can't see that, looking at them on the card!).

To finish off the card, I added a few rhinestones, and a row of flowers die-cut from Basic White card:
