STAMPIN' UP! HEART OF CHRISTMAS - WEEK 10

Already we are 10 weeks in, sharing Christmas creations to inspire you to use Stampin' Up! products.  I am really enjoying taking part in these blog hops every Monday, and hope you, too, are getting lots of enjoyment and ideas from them.

The two greens - Evening Evergreen, and Soft Succulent - in the Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Papers are my favourites for Christmas crafting this year.  The darker of the two greens features in the papers I have used on my card, and the two layers of the large ornament are in the lighter green.

My card base is Thick Basic White, and I have added a layer of Soft Succulent card.  Matted onto that are two panels of Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper.

Here's a close-up of the ornament, so you can see the lovely detail.  I like the subtle tone-on-tone look.  I added a bow made from Fine Art ribbon, as I like its slightly rustic look, with gold threads throughout.  The tiny gold stars were created with a Christmas Trees die, and Gold Metallic Paper.

The sentiment was created with stamps from the Bright Baubles stamp set.  I stamped "Wishing You A" and "Christmas" in Soft Succulent ink on two separate pieces of Basic White card, and "Merry & Bright" in Evening Evergreen on another piece.  I cropped the greetings using the two sizes of sentiment labels from the Floral Gallery Dies, then raised them up on Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

Next up on tonight's blog hop is my dear friend, Theresa.  (She and I have been friends since we were pregnant with our first babies, more than 26 years ago!)   If you click on the button below, you'll be taken to her blog:

If any of the links on tonight's hop are broken, or if you would like to see a comprehensive list of all participants in this week's share, head over to Tina Gillespie's blog.  Tina is co-ordinating this week's blog hop.

Listed below are the products I used to make this card.  If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.

  6. These two greens look so lovely together on your card Christine. I just received this pack of DSP today and aren’t the patterns and colours in it so beautiful. I wasn’t sure how I’d use the Evening Evergreen one on a card, but you have inspired me with this lovely design.

  8. The way you have broken up the sentiment and stamped it in these different colours to pick up the detail in the DSP is amazing Christine and it really makes the card.
