AWHT COLOUR CREATIONS BLOG HOP - WEEK 4: BERMUDA BAY

Tonight I'm taking part with some of my Stampin' Up! friends in a blog hop, to showcase Bermuda Bay - a bold, bright, teal in Stampin' Up!'s colour range.

I've used Bermuda Bay card, and my favourite Pierced Blooms Dies, to create a birthday card.  I love how it turned out, and hope you do, too!

I started off with a Thick Basic White card base.  I cut a panel of Basic White card, the same size as the card front, and used the Stitched Greenery Die to create a leafy background (you can see it at the bottom of the card).  The main background on my card is a Crumb Cake panel, stamped with a leaf design (this stamp is from the Free As A Bird set), using Whisper White ink.  Once the ink had dried, I cut off the bottom of the Crumb Cake panel, using a Basic Borders Die.  I used the same die on a piece of Basic Black card, cut to the width of my card front, and I attached it beneath the Crumb Cake piece.

Here's a close up of the gorgeous Bermuda Bay flowers.  The stems and leaves were cut from Granny Apple Green card. (I snipped some of the leaves from their original stems to place them where I wanted them.)  I decorated the flower centres with Opal Rounds, coloured with my Dark Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blends marker.

In this next photo, you can see the Stitched Greenery detail on the Basic White card.  The loopy bow was cut from Bermuda Bay card, and I added a Linen Thread bow over the top, using a glue dot.  The sentiment on my card is from Celebrate With Flowers ... it was stamped in Versamark ink on Basic Black card, and heat-embossed with white embossing powder.

  7. A bright & happy card Christine. I love it and so many details that contribute to it being so special. I love the leaf stitching on the white background and the way it compliments the white stamped leaves on the crumb cake layer. I’m yet to use my Basic Borders dies - you have inspired me to get them out. Also love your stitched leaves & flowers in BB and Granny Apple Green and your coloured opal rounds as flower centres are gorgeous. Xxx

  11. Another pretty card. I too had thought about pairing Bermuda Bay wit Granny Green Apple but would never have thought to add in Crumb Cake yet it is so effective and that background looks wonderful
