AWHT COLOUR CREATIONS BLOG HOP - WEEK 2: BALMY BLUE

This week's blog hop, with some of my stamping friends, is focussing on Balmy Blue.  We are working our way through the Stampin' Up! colour range, in alphabetical order, and are just into a new year.

I am having a lot of fun playing with the All For Baby bundle.  Balmy Blue is a great "baby" colour, so there was no question in my mind what I was going to create for this week's Colour Creations share.

I die-cut some of the adorable elements from the Baby Clothes Dies set, in Balmy Blue and Basic White card.  A Square Vellum Doily, adhered to a slightly larger Crumb Cake square, provides the backdrop for the onesie and bib.  I coloured some White Crinkled Seam Binding with the Dark Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends marker, and added the panel to a Basic White mat.

The background paper is from the Subtles 6"x6" Designer Series Paper pack, and the gorgeous scalloped border was cut from Balmy Blue card using a Scalloped Contours Die.

After stamping the sentiment in Crumb Cake ink, on a scrap of Basic White card, I cut it out using a Stitched So Sweetly Die.  A tiny die-cut heart is the only other embellishment I added.

Inside the card, I added a little Balmy Blue onesie ... because I just can't get enough of the cute details on these things!
