After I'd made my card for this week's Colour Creations blog hop, I was left with a single peony stamped image. I've gone for an alliteration record with this card - Poised Peony in Pretty in Pink!
I had stamped the flower in Basic Gray ink, on Basic White card. Here's what I created, after colouring the peony with (Pretty in Pink, and Granny Apple Green) Stampin' Blends markers. The stamped image was cut out using an Everyday Details circle die. I cut a Deckled Circle, the same size, from Basic Gray card and glued them together, to provide a darker contrast through the holes in the white circle.
After colouring the flower and leaves, I applied Wink of Stella to the petals. I then flicked ink from my Pretty in Pink and Dark Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends markers, over the finished piece.
The beautiful background paper is from the Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper pack. I sponged Pretty in Pink ink around the edges of the paper before matting it on Pretty in Pink card. Some Pretty in Pink Shimmer Gems, along with Pretty in Pink Bordered Ribbon, provide embellishment to my card front.
Because I'd wrapped a length of ribbon around the top two layers of my card, I raised the stamped flower circle up on Stampin' Dimensionals, so it would sit nicely. The Pretty in Pink bow was added on top of the circle, using Glue Dots.
