HOC WEEK 1: STAMPIN' UP! MERRIEST TREES AND SEASON OF GREEN & GOLD

I am very excited to once again be taking part in the Heart of Christmas blog hops, an annual initiative of Claire Daly's wider Stampin' Up! team in Australia.  Every Monday night, for the next few months, we will be bringing you inspiration for using Stampin' Up! products in your Christmas crafting.

The card I'm sharing with you tonight features the Merriest Trees stamp set and co-ordinating dies.  I love the elegance of the Season of Green & Gold Designer Series Papers - hence my chosen colour combination of Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, Very Vanilla and Gold.

Both of the background papers (the green striped, and Very Vanilla and gold) have been matted on a Mossy Meadow card panel.  I sponged the edges of the striped paper with Mossy Meadow ink before sticking it down.

I heat-embossed the sentiment in gold, on Very Vanilla card.  The bow was made with Cream Woven Ribbon.  The embellishments I added are Flat-Backed Adhesive Pearls, that I coloured with my Dark Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends marker.

I cut the star, garland and tree base from Gold Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper.  These details add gorgeous sparkle to the card.  (Please overlook the rather washed-out greens in this photo!  I realised at the last minute that my original photo was out of focus, and had to re-photograph the card in poor light.)

Next up on tonight's blog hop is Theresa Gerrard
