STAMPIN' UP! SIMPLY FABULOUS GINGHAM THANK YOU CARD

As we near the end of April, I am starting to feel a bit panicked about all the unused Stampin' Up! products, bought before my foot surgery 5 months ago, that are about to retire.  A new Annual Catalogue is coming out in early May, and lots of my favourite products are not carrying over.

Today's card features the Simply Fabulous stamp set, and Country Gingham Designer Series Paper (both retiring).  I love the cute, whimsical, look of this card!

I started by adhering three strips of the DSP, in Mint Macaron, Sweet Sorbet, and Balmy Blue, across a piece of Basic White card.  I used the Picture This Die (retiring) to cut stitched circles from this panel, and when I matted the layer on some Sweet Sorbet card I inlaid the die-cut circles in a mixed-up order.  A thin mat of Basic Black card was added before I wrapped a length of Black & White Gingham Ribbon around all the layers.

Taking the colours from the DSP, I stamped the leaves and flowers on a piece of Basic White card, that I'd cut using a Beautiful Shapes Die (retiring).  I cut two scalloped circles (using the retiring Layered Circles Dies), one each from Sweet Sorbet card and Basic Black card, snipped them in half, and matted them behind the focal circle, with the join at an angle (daring for me, who likes straight lines on my cards!).  After attaching the stamped piece to my card with Black Stampin' Dimensionals, I added a bow made with Black & White Gingham Ribbon.

I used the brush tip of my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker, and flicked it against the open lid to splatter ink across the stamped piece.  On a scrap of Basic Black card, I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink, and heat-embossed it in white.  It was cut out with a Stylish Shapes Die, and popped up on a Black Stampin' Dimensional.  The coloured dots I added to my card are In Color Matte Decorative Dots, and Classic Matte Dots.

Listed below are all the products I used to make my card.  If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.

Tomorrow I will have another gingham-background card to share with you, so I can at the very least say I've cut into a few sheets of this gorgeous DSP before it retires!
