STAMPIN' UP! GREATEST JOURNEY BIRTHDAY CARD

Amongst the many products retiring from Stampin' Up!'s range on Monday is the Greatest Journey bundle.  I bought these stamps and dies with masculine cards in mind, then found I couldn't create for many months after surgery (boy, these have been challenging times!).  Determined to use them at least once, I have created a birthday card with the gorgeous He's The Man Designer Series Paper, and my favourite retiring green, Soft Succulent.

I had lots of fun playing with inks and different patterns when creating this card.  I've used two Soft Succulent papers for the background - He's The Man for the top section, and a strip of striped Soft Succulent DSP (on which I stamped grass, in first and second generation stamping, using Soft Succulent ink).  After sponging around the edges of the papers with Soft Succulent ink, I matted them on a panel of Early Espresso card.

Included in the He's The Man DSP pack are some die-cut pieces that make great additions to cards.  I used one of the Sahara Sand strips, with a torn-looking edge.  In Sahara Sand and Soft Succulent ink, I stamped some starry and dotty detail.  I then used Early Espresso ink, and my Stamparatus, to stamp the sentiment, from A Grand Kid.  Sahara Sand ink was sponged around the edges of this sentiment strip, before I adhered it across the entire width of my card front.

The Dark Soft Succulent Stampin' Blends marker allowed me to custom-colour an Enamel Sticker Icon.  I also added some Rustic Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots.

The die-cut tent was created with Early Espresso card, and a piece of He's The Man DSP that I sponged with Sahara Sand ink.

Two Early Espresso photo corners (die-cuts from the He's The Man DSP pack) finished off my card design.

Listed below are all the products I used to make this card.  If you live in Australia, and would like to shop with me for your Stampin' Up! supplies, you can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below.

Don't forget the current catalogues finish on Monday 1st May, so if you "need" any of the products not carrying over into Stampin' Up!'s new catalogue, be sure to get them while you can!
