STAMPIN' UP! FOND OF AUTUMN THANK YOU CARD IN GRANNY APPLE GREEN

Tonight's Colour Creations blog hop is celebrating the gorgeous Granny Apple Green.  I love this fresh, bright, colour, and have teamed it with some other happy colours to create a thank you card using the Fond of Autumn bundle.

I had recently die-cut the Basic White piece, at the bottom of my card front, to show a friend what one of the beautiful dies in this bundle creates.  Once I saw how lovely it was, I couldn't NOT use it!  So, that was the starting point of my card.

Onto a Thick Basic White card base, I adhered a Granny Apple Green card layer, and two different papers.  The Granny Apple Green paper is from the Awash in Beauty Designer Series Paper pack, and the yellow strip is from the Hues of Happiness DSP pack.  I stuck the Basic White detailed die-cut onto the paper, and assembled all the floral and leafy bits on and around it.

I stamped the individual flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Basic White card, and coloured them using Stampin' Blends makers - Polished Pink and So Saffron for the flowers, and Granny Apple Green for the leaves.

The multi-flower, and leaf and berry, piece were also stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and coloured using the same Stampin' Blends markers as I'd used for the individual flowers.  One of the dies in the set cuts out the large spray in three segments ... the leaves and berries, the three flowers and leaves, and another portion that I didn't use.  This is such a versatile set of stamps and dies.

The sentiment was stamped in Granny Apple Green ink on Basic White card, and cut out using a Stylish Shapes die.  I coloured Elegant Faceted Gems with my Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends marker.  I love this way of creating custom-coloured embellishments.

  2. Gorgeous Christine!! Love all those layers and details. How nice that so many of us went for very similar colour combinations tonight - I don't know whether it's a case of great minds think alike, or we just all have excellent taste!

  5. I had totally overlooked that die, Christine - it is amazing and what a fabulous starting point for your vibrant Granny Apple Green card. Using the two different DSP as a layer add such a lovely variation in tone behind your colourful flowers.

  6. Christine, you have certainly created a beautiful card with these products that I totally overlooked in the catalogue. I'm not really into the autumnal style, but in these bright colours, you have made it super appealing. I love all your layers too!
