STAMPIN' UP! BLESSINGS OF HOME BIRTHDAY CARD IN GARDEN GREEN

Tonight's Colour Creations blog hop is all about Garden Green, a mid-green in Stampin' Up!'s range.  I love green, but seldom use this one, so was a little unsure of how I'd use it.  Turns out, I was able to make a card I'm very happy with!

I love the background on this card.  After cutting a panel of Garden Green paper from the Gingham Cottage DSP pack, I ran it through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine, with the Stitched Greenery Die.   I sponged Garden Green ink around the edges of this piece, then adhered it to a Garden Green mat and Thick Basic White card base.

The large floral spray from Blessings of Home was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, on Basic White card.  I coloured the images with Watercolor Pencils, and a Blender Pen.  The colours used are Pumpkin Pie, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Garden Green.  I die-cut the coloured piece, and added a few white die-cut foliage pieces before adhering it to the gingham background.

This photo gives a closer view of the Stitched Greenery background, and parts of the coloured flowers:

The sentiment was stamped in Garden Green ink on Basic White card, and cut out using a Sending Die.  I cut a strip of Garden Green card with a leafy Delicate Edges Die, and placed it underneath the sentiment label.  To finish off, I added Elegant Faceted Gems, to the sentiment strip and around the floral spray.

HEART OF CHRISTMAS WEEK 13: STAMPIN' UP! COUNTRY WREATH CARD

Every Monday night until late November,  a group of us (Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around Australia) is sharing Christmas projects made with Stampin' Up! products.

The card I am sharing this week pairs a couple of sweet Country Wreath die-cuts with the gorgeous Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper.

Using the Country Wreaths Dies, I cut one wreath from vellum, and one from Soft Succulent card.  I adhered these to a piece of striped Designer Series Paper, and added a Poppy Parade die-cut bow.  The In Color Opal Rounds were a nice match, to add detail to some of the sprigs on the busy Designer Series Paper that forms my card's background.

I stamped the sentiment, from Brightest Glow, in Versamark on Old Olive card.  After heat-embossing it in white, I cut it out using the beautiful sentiment label die from the bundle.

STAMPIN' UP! BIRTHDAY CARD FEATURING HE'S THE MAN DESIGNER SERIES PAPER

This week my youngest son turned 22.  He loves camping with his mates, so I thought the He's The Man DSP was ideal for his card this year.  I used the camping-patterned paper, and a die-cut Combi van from the sheet of die-cuts in the pack.

I love the playful font of the sentiment, from A Grand Kid.  I stamped it in Early Espresso ink on a piece of He's The Man DSP, then cut it out using an All That Die.  I sponged Sahara Sand ink around the edges of the sentiment label.  Rustic Metallic Dots are a great embellishment for masculine cards, don't you think?

I also used Rustic Metallic Dots as little "wheel caps" on the van.  On the strip of DSP that serves as  road, I stamped (in Sahara Sand ink) a couple of small images from Beauty of Friendship, to ground the tyres.

Some die cuts that complement the whole theme of the card are a couple of trees, cut from Soft Succulent and Sahara Sand card, using Majestic Mountain Dies, and an Early Espresso "mountain range" made with Basic Borders Dies.
