STAMPIN' UP! ARTISTICALLY INKED WEDDING CARD IN NIGHT OF NAVY

This week's Colour Creations blog hop is all about Night of Navy, the darkest blue in Stampin' Up!'s colour range.

I have teamed Night of Navy with silver and white, to make a wedding card, featuring the beautiful Artistically Inked bundle.

I started off with a panel of Basic White card, on which I stamped the splotchy "watercolour" image from Artistically Inked.  I stamped it in a fairly random fashion in Night of Navy ink (both full strength, and "stamped off", to give tonal variation), and in Versamark ink in the areas I wanted to emboss with silver embossing powder.

You can better see the silver-embossed bits in this photo:

After stamping my background, I used a Stitched With Whimsy Die to add some stitched frame detail.  I then adhered the Basic White floral die-cut, backed with Adhesive Sheet to make application clean and easy.

Above the large floral die-cut, I added a Night of Navy border piece cut from a Nature's Thoughts Die.  I used my Dark Night of Navy Stampin' Blends marker to colour a length of White Glittered Organdy Ribbon, to create the bow.  The sentiment is from a new stamp set called Special Moments, that is a Sale-A-Bration freebie.  If you spend $180 on Stampin' Up! product before the end of February, you can earn this fabulous, versatile, stamp set for free.  I used the smallest Stitched Rectangle Die to crop the sentiment.  Some Night of Navy rhinestones add a bit of bling to my card.

It's a little hard to discern in my photos, but the main Basic White layer is matted onto a piece of the darkest silver paper from the Silver Foil Specialty Pack.  A narrow mat of Night of Navy card is in between the silver layer and the Basic White card base.

A simple Night of Navy die-cut added to the inside of the card ties in with the design on the card front:
