After a couple of weeks' break, we are resuming our weekly Colour Creations blog hops, showcasing Stampin' Up!'s beautiful colour range, in alphabetical order.  This week our creations feature Mossy Meadow, a lovely dark green.

I have had my first play with the Grassy Grove bundle of products (stamp set and dies), brand new out in Stampin' Up!'s Mini Catalogue released yesterday.  This bundle immediately appealed to me because I can see it will be great for masculine cards, plus it has beautiful tree and foliage stamps and dies (I'm a sucker for those!).

From a piece of Mossy Meadow card, I die cut the frame.  I then ran this piece through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine again, using the Stitched Greenery Die, to give the leafy detail all over.

On a piece of Very Vanilla card, I blended Old Olive ink to give a hazy forest-like background.  I stamped the grassy images across this piece, in Mossy Meadow ink.  I adhered the Very Vanilla panel to a mat of Old Olive card, and a thinner mat of Mossy Meadow card.  The Mossy Meadow die-cut frame was glued to the Very Vanilla inked piece.

I stamped the deer in Soft Suede ink on Crumb Cake card, then die cut her out, and lightly sponged the edges with Soft Suede ink.  Two die-cut fawns (one in Crumb Cake, and one in Soft Suede) were added to the front of the card, with their mother.  I used my Soft Suede Stampin' Write marker to dot an eye on each baby deer.

I stamped the sentiment* in Soft Suede ink on a scrap of Crumb Cake card, then cut it out using a Tailor Made Tags Die.  I lightly sponged around the edges of the tag with Soft Suede ink, and added some Crumb Cake twine before adhering the tag to the leafy frame.

* The sentiment is from the Friendly Hello stamp set, one of my favourite FREE items (with a $180 spend) on offer during Sale-A-Bration, that has just started.  This stamp set comes with beautiful Designer Series Papers that I think are the most gorgeous Sale-A-Bration offerings we've ever had.

Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots add a nice finishing touch to this masculine design, don't you think?
